In Greater Los Angeles, professional junk hauling is a service that many of our San Fernando Valley communities need. Many residents do not have access to a truck or transportation large enough to take trash and haul it away economically.

What’s more, with BumbleBee Junk you know you’re hiring removal specialists who are more than just the odd pair of hands and strong backs. Ours are employees who know how to deal with any type of items and have gone through background checks and interviews to make sure they are the right person for our team. We know that you’re inviting us to your property—many times it’s your home—and we treat that home and you with courtesy and respect while we remove whatever junk or bulky items you need gone.

Costs

Most junk removal companies charge by the size of the cargo or the size of the truck. For example an eighth of a truck, a quarter, a half, etc. where you could see a charge of up to $795.00 for a full, heavy load, or $149.99 for a single item. We charge considerably less than the national chains plus we offer a discount coupon for even greater savings. Of course, extra charges apply for very dense and heavy items such as concrete, dirt, construction materials and other loads. Combustibles and other hazardous waste may require special handling so be sure to inform the junk hauling service (BumbleBee Junk, of course) of all your items. We will always attempt to recycle and donate what we can for environmental purposes as well as the facts that the dump charges us by the pound. There’s economic incentive to recycle junk to the fullest extent possible.

Trash Hauling and Donatable Goods

Around half of our trash hauling business is from homeowners in neighborhoods who discard many items that we could take to Goodwill Industries or charities instead of the dump. Some charities offer pickup services, however they may be selective in what they accept and leaving your space clean is not what they are there for. Another large part of our service comes from property managers getting rental units ready to rent again. We haul for the entire San Fernando Valley (a.k.a., "The Valley” to locals), Glendale, Pasadena (San Gabriel Valley) as well as Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks areas. Why hire BumbleBee Junk? Aside from our years of experience we have friendly employees who will always go the extra mile and even climb into a dirty basement or garage to do what needs to be done! If you need junk pickup that's fast and professional, call BumbleBee Junk today!

Where We Serve

Los Angeles, California
We are located Eastern part of the San Fernando Valley. The entire Valley is officially part of the city of Los Angeles. Los Angeles has a storied past which reaches all the way back to prehistory. However, modern Los Angeles— The city we know today–really starts with the first European explorers who came to the area late 16th century. From the late 1500s through most of the 18th-century there was not much of note going on. However the first Spanish expedition from Mexico 1769 which included father Junipero Serra was the first of Many explorers of the old world to this part of the New World. Serra founded a series of missions, of which the San Fernando Mission oversaw the area that we become Los Angeles. In 1781, settlers in the area were asked occupy an area of land in Southern California. As an incentive for this move settlers told they would be granted land by the Spanish crown after two years-which is exactly what happened. Over a series of months in 1781 several settlers made their way to what would become Los Angeles and on September 4, 1781 the City of Los Angeles is officially founded. The official name the city was El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles. This translates to the city of Our Lady of the Angels. After the initial founding, Los Angeles grew fairly rapidly as more settlers moved into the area, increasing population. Water from the Los Angeles River was diverted too many farms built by the settlers through series of irrigation canals. Indigenous people– Indians—continued to live in the area and intermarriage between Spanish settlers and Indians took place giving Los Angeles its own unique culture, neither Spanish nor Indian but known as “mestizo” or “mixed.” Not long after the founding—just about 40 years–Spain granted to Mexico Independence in California, including Los Angeles, became part of Mexico. Independence from Spain also brought about secularization in the government and as a result influence of the church waned. Los Angeles, formerly under the Control of the mission system, was now divided up into an autonomous pieces of land granted to residents by Mexico. A scant forty years after its founding, Los Angeles was made Capital what was called Alta (high) California. This was a testament to its growth over the years. Los Angeles’ and California’s autonomy under Mexican rule was short-lived. As the 1830s progressed more and more people flooded into the region from other parts of North America, predominately the eastern United States. It was impossible to hold back this westward movement individually non-Spanish speaking residents overwhelmed the original Mexican landowners. The power of such large numbers of immigrants from the United States was in some part the reason for the US going to war with Mexico. War was declared against Mexico in 1846. During the war American forces headed by Robert Stockton along with John C Fremont captured Los Angeles. Not long after the Mexican governor of California signed the Treaty surrendering the region to American forces. The war officially ended with the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 in which Mexico gave California and much of its holdings Southwest the United States. In 1850 California was admitted to the union and became part of the United States. Tensions over slavery continued to grow over the next 11 years. With the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860 the inevitable path to the Civil War had been reached and California, including Los Angeles, found itself contributing men and materiel to both sides conflict. Those members of the United States Army stationed in Los Angeles picked sides—some joining the Union side, while others join the Confederacy. After the end of the Civil War the Transcontinental Railroad was completed in 1869. This meant that people could travel across the entire North American continent. New rail lines were brought into the Los Angeles area which brought even more people an increasing population. Los Angeles grew is even faster rate. The old system of Ranchos which it begun under Mexican control disappeared as more and more Easterners came to California and bought land. As technology advanced in the late 19th and early 20th century Los Angeles innovations such as the system of transportation provided by the Pacific Electric Railway Company. These trolley cars which took travelers throughout the entire Southland were in existence well into the 1940s. The need for more water for Los Angeles growing population went to the series of deadly fights over water rights but ultimately Los Angeles won out over the residents of Northern California’s Owens Valley and that valley to this day provides much of the water that Los Angeles uses. World War II brought even more growth to the area. More production was in full swing at places like Burbank’s Lockheed Company which cranked out thousands of aircraft the war effort. Returning soldiers and a baby boom after the war resulted in more people moving to and in staying in the Los Angeles area. Population of the region grew exponentially. Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley continue to grow to this day. Then ever increasing population in a consumer-oriented society mean that millions upon millions of people continue to amass possessions. In most cases these possessions have a limited lifespan you need to be gotten rid of. In other words these things because junk. When the residents of Los Angeles decide to unburden themselves of their junk that’s where Bumblebee Junk comes in.
